Central California Environmental Justice Network (CCEJN): The Central California Environmental Justice Networkis a network of environmental justice organizations from throughout California's Central Valley, who have come together to find solutions to the environmental injustices faced by predominantly low- income communities and communities of color in the Valley.  CCEJN was formed by members of CRPE's Delano Advisory Board in December of 1999, and was soon joined by other EJ organizations. CCEJN's mission is to try to preserve our natural resources now and in the future, by seeking better ways to minimize or eliminate environmental degradation in Central Valley communities.  This mission is crucial because rural communities in California's Central Valley suffer disproportionate negative health, social, and financial impacts.

California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA), is a coalition of base-building organizations. We are committed to building healthy communities from the ground up.  Our mission is to strengthen the progressive environmental justice movement in California by building on the local organizing efforts and advocacy successes of our member organizations to achieve state policy change. We focus on California's urban communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Los Angeles region, the Inland Valleys, and the San Diego / Tijuana border region.  We are working to achieve environmental justice by organizing in low-income and people of color communities - those most impacted by environmental hazards - and by pushing for policies at the state, regional and local levels that protect public health. Together, we are building a movement for environmental health and justice.

Dairy Education  Alliance (DEA), is a national coalition of farmers, grass-roots activists, environmentalists, scientists, public interest lawyers and economists working collaboratively to tackle the environmental, social and economic problems associated with large dairy operations. The DEA was formed as a natural outgrowth of the work being done around the country by people whose communities have been devastated by the impacts from industrial-sized dairy operations.  DEA’s purpose is the protection and improvement of the environment throughout the United States. We support family farms that operate in a socially responsible manner, promoting personal and economic health, stewardship of the land, and protection of our air and water. We oppose any farming operation that pollutes and erodes our rural communities.

Safe Air for Everyone (SAFE), The Safe Air for Everyone (SAFE) Campaign of California’s for Pesticide Reform aims to prevent pesticide air pollution in California and support a safe and sustainable farming system that protects the health of farmworkers, their families, other directly affected communities and the environment. In moving towards this vision, the SAFE Campaign's goals are to:

  • Phase out all fumigant and other hazardous pesticides that drift into the air.
  • Improve air quality by reducing pesticide use.
  • Establish state and local regulatory structures that are accountable to affected communities on pesticide drift issues.
  • Affirm and protect the public's right to know about the use and effects of pesticide air pollutants.

The SAFE Campaign works to change local and statewide policy on pesticides in the air through grassroots organizing, policy advocacy and legal action.
